To make this website I started with HTML5 Boilerplate and employed a modified version of the fluid 960 Grid System. Media queries are used to make this site responsive, an approach to web design pioneered by Ethan Marcotte, so please resize your browser window to see what this is all about. In addition to the javascript included in HTML5 Boilerplate, like Modernizr, I also used Karl Swedberg’s Smooth Scroll, Remy Sharp’s Fixed Floating Elements and Scrolling Linked Nav solutions. The Fixed Floating Elements solution uses Mika Tuupola’s Viewport plugin for jQuery.
